For the past eight years, we have been authoring and facilitating the Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) New Principals and Aspiring Principals Programs. This work has provided us with a unique insight into the challenges of educational leadership. As a team, we have also developed a strong belief in the value of independent schooling and a commitment to supporting the sector to develop it's leadership capacity.
After much discussion with ISQ and consultation with principals throughout our network, we have taken the initiative to create Principals' Roundtable exclusively for experienced independent school principals. Our model is designed to enable collaboration in a high trust environment so that experienced school principals can support each other in the pursuit of excellence in educational leadership.
Having led these roundtable formats for over a decade now, Stephen Scott has mastered the process of ensuring integrity and fairness to each roundtable member. The forum is open to any discussion related to a principal's role. Whether it is a challenge you are facing with governance, strategy, executive team development, establishing a point of difference for your school or dealing with the dreaded EBA, there are no limits. You will have the support of 200 years of school leadership experience around you to conquer these challenges.
Membership is annual, renewable each year and limited to ten principals per roundtable. The membership commitment requires attendance at eight meetings, each five hours in duration, and one residential retreat over two days and two nights. All roundtable meetings are facilitated in accordance with a charter document that provides the framework for ensuring the highest possible value to its members.
